Hugo’s daughter reported it by talking to various media houses and channels as well. On the 12th of May, the journalist was hospitalized because he was feeling ill and suffered health issues after his show on the Morning Show. This was not the first tie he had issues due to Covid, he had it back in 2020, and since then he acquired a severe Lung infection. As covid was severely affecting elderly people, he might have suffered health issues for that long. Hugo’s daughter requested people to pray for his dad’s health earlier as well and now as well.

Hugo’s health was affected while he was still on the sets of News channel RTS and was hospitalized soon after that. On the 30th of May, Erika started a chain of prayers on social media to pray for her dad, and also she thanked everyone who was standing in support of her family and dad as well. While he was in the hospital, his family requested privacy and also said that they will inform and keep updating him about his health, whenever necessary. Erica also said that the doctors checked the cause, which officially came out to be as Covid.

She reported that her father had a Pneumonia with certain sequela. After which the doctors asked him to be in the hospital for further tests and examinations, she said that this occurred two years ago, in 2020. Erica seemed really upset when she reported the death and earlier she said that in her family everyone lived in unity. Although the death of Hugo was reported, the funeral and Obituary details aren’t out yet. We cannot specify it until the family gives out any details about the funeral. The journalist was 74 at the time of his death and was well-known for his work. We pray he rests in peace.
